Editorial policy
Who writes our guides
Guides are written by the Meansway editorial team. We use AI tools to help research and draft. A person on the Meansway team reads, edits and approves every page before it goes live.
Where our facts come from
We rely on primary sources: government agencies, central banks and official statistics offices. For US guides, this means sources such as the IRS, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, the Social Security Administration and the Federal Reserve. For guides covering other countries, we use the matching national agencies and central banks, along with international bodies such as the OECD, the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund. Every number on our site links to its source or shows how we worked it out.
Independence
No company pays for placement in our guides. Meansway carries no ads and no affiliate links today. If this changes, we will say so clearly on every affected page.
Keeping guides current
Each guide shows the date it was last updated. We revisit every guide at least once a year, and sooner when a rule or figure changes.
Corrections
Found a mistake? Email [email protected]. We review every report, fix confirmed errors within five business days, and note the correction on the page.
Not advice
Our guides and tools give general education. Each guide states which country it covers. They are not financial, tax or legal advice for your situation.
